Casa al Prato is an ancient farm house located in the small village of Lamole, in the heart of the Chianti Classico zone, 30 km south of Florence and about the same distance north of Sienna. The location is ideal for visiting the numerous vineyards of the area and for going on relaxing walks through the surrounding forests. The house has two private gardens, one in front, one behind, and perfect for outdoor meals. Upon request, we can serve breakfast or dinners composed of typical Chianti dishes. Casa al Prato, with its style of architecture, authentic restoration and furnishings entirely coeval with the house, is ideal for a vacation providing contact with Nature and Chianti traditions.
On the ground floor, from a little porch, you enter a living room with two beds and which opens onto a garden of mature plants and with an area of about 300 sq m. From the living room, you pass to a small kitchenette and then a passage with a wardrobe and a bathroom with bath and shower. At the end of the passage, you find another double bedroom with private shower.
From the living room, a staircase takes you to the first floor from which you may also descend directly to the garden down an old stone staircase. The large first floor living room is truly the heart of the house, with wooden beamed ceilings, stone architraves and a fireplace dating from the 16 C. Opening off it is a large and ancient kitchen with a fireplace and antique furniture. From the living room, you pass into a passage which accesses a double bedroom with private bath and a wooden staircase that ascends to the top floor which occupies a smaller, turret-like part of the house where you find two further double rooms with private shower.

In front of the house is a small rustic alcove containing a genuine and perfectly functional wood oven in which the farmers used to bake their bread. Casa al Prato combines the fascination of the antique with all modern comforts to provide real tranquility during your holiday. Central heating, washing machine, telephone, television and a small library of books on Tuscany and the Chianti in particular are all at your disposal.

We are open throughout the year. On arrival, Chianti wine tasting with Tuscan dried meats. The house consists of two apartments that may be rented separately or as a single unit. Rental is normally by the week, but we also rent by the day. It is also possible to rent a double room with bathroom. Weekly prices are lower.

We request a 30% deposit paid by bank transfer or credit card at the time of confirmation of your reservation. This deposit is forfeited for cancellations made less than 30 days prior to arrival. The balance should be paid upon arrival in cash.
How to reach Casa Al Prato
Follow the highway A1 and exit at Firenze-Certosa. Follow the road signs to Greve. Once you are in Greve continue to Panzano (SS 222 to Siena ). After 2 km you will reach a fork, turn left and follow to Lamole. After 7 km you will reach Lamole. On your left you will see the church and the main square, follow the road that you find in front of you, the one on the right. After 600 meters you will find some ancient buildings with bushes on your left hand, turn left there.
