The Chianti Classico
wine region is located in central Tuscany, between two main art cities, Florence and
Sienna. The main town of this area is Greve in Chianti, the venue for
the Chianti's biggest wine fair. The entire Chianti hill country is
dotted with vineyards, olive groves, villas, castles, mediaeval hamlets and
churches dating back to the romanesque period, plus extensive areas of
chestnut, pine and oak forest. |
